The Story Behind the Art
The Stone Dinosaur series was created by photographing naturally weathered rock formations through hand-cut paper stencils in working quarries and on local hikes. Rather than adding textures digitally, each dinosaur is built from real stone patterns discovered in the landscape, echoing the geological settings where paleontologists uncover fossilized remains.
Artwork arrives sealed in a clear sleeve with museum board, wrapped in tissue paper and packaged in a rigid mailer for safe transit.
