‘North American Animals In Bark' is a series created in the field by photographing different tree species through hand-cut paper templates, looking to find the animal reflected in the world around them. I find each one through intuition and am inspired in part by this quote by Naturalist John Muir, "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe."
Bark Animals available by request: Caribou, Grizzly Bear, Wolf, Elk, Bison, Red Fox, River Otter, Barn Owl, Blue Heron, Mountain Lion, Bald Eagle, Polar Bear, Raven, Bighorn Sheep, Whitetail Deer (Doe), and American Alligator.
Each print is signed, with species scientific & common names printed on the back (available on the front upon special request). Arrives carefully wrapped in an archival clear sleeve, wrapped with tissue paper & packaged in a rigid mailer for safe transit.
